2/20/2023 0 Comments Setup filezilla server server 2012I am looking to make it so that the outside vendors do not have to change their FTP/Explorer settings to Active FTP, and also I am looking to be able to get directory listing outside the LAN. Also, it seems that outside the LAN they must put their client in Active FTP mode. When the person outside the LAN tries connecting using the same account that works for me inside LAN, it allows them to connect but fails directory listing. Next again and give the rule a name that would make sense to you later if you need to modify it. Click next again and leave the 3 checkboxes marked. Click next and on choose 'Allow the connection'. It shows me the files in the directory I had specified for the user, which is \\FILESERVER\Public\FTP. Important: make sure you select the 'FileZilla Server' and not the 'FileZilla Server Interface'. Inside our LAN, it works fine, using FileZilla FTP Client, in passive mode (which is default). The users i am setting up are external venders, who are not in Domain Users. These directories are on another server, let's say \\FILESERVER in a network share, to which people in "Domain Users" have read/write access. I have created several users, each with their own directory. cisco ASA with access rules allowing traffic, and a public IP for the server hosting FileZilla FileZilla Server running on Windows 2008R2, let's call it \\FTP.
